Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or using Storage Genie's self-storage services at our Wonderboom, Pretoria North facility, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Storage Services

Storage Genie provides self-storage units for rent. Our services include:

  • Small, Medium, Large, and Vehicle storage units
  • On-site security and alarmed facility
  • Easy secure access during operating hours
  • Month-to-month flexible lease agreements

3. Rental Agreement

Upon renting a storage unit, you will enter into a separate Rental Agreement that governs the specific terms of your storage unit rental. These Terms of Service supplement that agreement.

4. Prohibited Items

You may not store the following items in our storage units:

  • Hazardous, flammable, or explosive materials
  • Illegal substances or stolen property
  • Perishable food items
  • Living creatures (animals or plants)
  • Weapons or ammunition
  • Items that emit odors or attract pests

5. Payment Terms

Rental fees are due monthly in advance. Failure to pay may result in denial of access to your unit and eventual sale of contents as permitted by law. All promotional discounts (including the 50% off first 3 months offer) are subject to specific terms and conditions.

6. Access Hours

Access to storage units is available during our operating hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Sunday & Public Holidays: Closed

7. Insurance

Storage Genie does not provide insurance for stored items. We strongly recommend that you obtain appropriate insurance coverage for your belongings. You are responsible for insuring your stored items against loss, damage, or theft.

8. Limitation of Liability

Storage Genie shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or destruction of stored items due to fire, theft, water damage, pest infestation, or any other cause, except where such loss is directly caused by our gross negligence. Our maximum liability is limited to the monthly rental fee paid.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the storage agreement with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, you must remove all items from the storage unit and return any access devices. Failure to vacate may result in additional charges.

10. Website Use

The content on our website is for general information purposes only. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any aspect of the website at any time. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
